| The Annual Extra-care Housing Conference |
This Laing & Buisson Conference is held in February.
The annual extra-care conference flows from aspects of policy to specific issues facing extra-care providers and purchasers, such as regulation, planning constraints and telecare. It will see the effect of extra-care on social services, and how the benefits system can assist in funding extra-care.
The conference has in the past looked at current successes in funding the development of extra-care using Extra Care Housing Fund grants and the opportunities offered by the Partnerships for Older People Projects grants. The conference aims to identify the key issues in integrated care and housing,to facilitate open discussion between speakers and delegates, and toencourage informal contacts between different sectors.
